Reporter, Accountancy Age

Location: London, UK; hybrid work with in-person attendance three days a week or more. Remote work is available when not working from an office or event location.

What you will do

• Write news, analysis, features, trend stories, interviews, photo stories and multimedia content for accounting and finance professionals.
• Report on accountancy and finance issues across the UK and Europe.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals and experts as sources, contributors and partners.
• Work with external contributors, edit copy and use content management and online reporting systems.
• Collaborate with UK, US and wider editorial and operations teams to execute content strategies.
• Use social media, online communities, search engine optimisation and AI optimisation to develop content and increase site visibility.

Requirements

• Experience reporting and editing for a business-oriented publication, preferably covering accounting, finance or general business.
• One or two years of reporting experience, or recent journalism graduation with relevant internships or work experience.
• Journalism qualification such as NCTJ or a university journalism degree or postgraduate degree.
• Strong organisation and workload-management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of news-writing fundamentals and ethics, with the ability to produce clear and concise copy.
• Experience with online production systems, multimedia formats and social media platforms.
