Senior Technical Product Manager (Data Center Solutions)

Location: Willimantic, Connecticut or Lincoln, Rhode Island, United States; onsite five days per week with 20–30% travel

What you will do

• Drive product strategy for data center cable solutions by monitoring market trends, customer requirements, emerging technologies, and competitive activity.
• Define product requirements and lead new product development from concept through qualification, commercialization, launch, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, sales, marketing, and business leadership teams.
• Engage customers, consultants, suppliers, end users, and industry stakeholders to gather feedback and identify product opportunities.
• Participate in UL, CSA, IEC, NEC, and customer specification committees, monitoring standards and regulatory changes.
• Represent hirify.global at customer visits, conferences, trade shows, technical forums, and industry events; travel to customer sites and company facilities as required.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, materials, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of product development engineering experience with complex engineered products and strict performance requirements.
• Direct wire and cable industry experience, including cable constructions, materials, standards, manufacturing processes, terminology, and product lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with data center products, applications, or customer requirements from a cable and wire perspective.
• Working knowledge of UL, CSA, and NEC standards, testing requirements, certification processes, and cable specifications.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week and travel 20–30%.

Nice to have

• 5–10 years of product development engineering experience in a technical or industrial environment.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Experience attending data center shows and representing technical products externally.
• Proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to move initiatives forward independently.
