Software Engineer with C++ Developer for Infrastructure and Network Development Team (Hybrid, C++)

What you will do

• Define technical solutions with Product Owners and Architects.
• Develop new products and extend existing infrastructure and network tools.
• Contribute to all development, maintenance, and housekeeping phases of the Enhanced Backup solution.
• Build and maintain software supporting backups for millions of web hosts and up to 2 PB of data per day.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams in a complex infrastructure ecosystem.

Requirements

• Excellent C++ knowledge, including C++17 standard features, STL, network programming, and multithreading.
• Very good knowledge of CMake, Debian/Linux, Linux file-system hierarchy and permissions, and Linux process management.
• Knowledge of TCP, UDP, signals, forking, IPC, REST APIs, and Google Test.
• Working knowledge of Python for integration testing, Docker and Docker Compose for local development, and OpenSSL for secure communication.
• Very good written and verbal English skills.

Nice to have

• Backup and block-based backup theory.
• C++ Concepts, Boost, Protobuf, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, or other DevOps technologies.
• Open-source contribution experience.
