TL;DR
Automotive Lead Technician (Automotive Repair): Diagnosing and repairing vehicle brake, hydraulic, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, fuel, ignition, and computer systems with an accent on technical accuracy, customer communication, and technician development. Focus on leading and mentoring technicians, solving complex drivability and electrical issues, and obtaining ASE certifications.
Location: 227558 Hamilton West; onsite in the United States
Pay range: $24.10–$43.51 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model. A $3,000 sign-on bonus may be available.

What you will do
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
- Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers and other non-technical individuals.
- Assist with training and mentoring technicians and mechanics.
- Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
- Complete or maintain ASE certifications in at least five A1–A8 areas within the first two years.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brake diagnosis and repair.
- Demonstrated skill in alignment, steering, and suspension diagnosis and repair.
- Knowledge of general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, plus reading, writing, and math skills.
Nice to have
- Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills through third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
- ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas, with brakes and steering and suspension certifications preferred.
- Experience with electrical and electronic systems, engine repair and performance, transmissions, drivetrains, and automotive heating and air conditioning.
