Laboratory Technician I

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. Onsite afternoon shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily, quality-control, and regulatory records.
• Enter sample information into the Eurofins eLIMS system.
• Perform laboratory testing accurately and efficiently while meeting sample turnaround targets.
• Verify results and submit them for transmission to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, and report proposed solutions to the supervisor.
• Follow laboratory quality, safety, environmental, and management-system procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, communicate with coworkers, and follow laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, AOAC ALACC, and applicable regulatory requirements is relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in microbiology, food sciences, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
