Compliance Officer (AML/KYC)

Location: Remote worldwide, with remote options in North America, Europe, and South America; EU-based candidates preferred. Porto office and an Amsterdam hub are also referenced.

What you will do

• Manage the ongoing AML/KYC review queue through Sumsub and request additional documentation from flagged customers and companies.
• Escalate higher-risk or ambiguous cases to the General Counsel and apply onboarding policies consistently.
• Maintain AML and sanctions policies across hirify.global’ entities.
• Work with engineering to track feed usage by product type and jurisdiction, monitor regulatory thresholds, and manage customer usage audits.
• Develop policies, procedures, controls, and data-publisher standards supporting potential EU benchmark administrator registration.
• Coordinate financial compliance, internal controls, external audits, tax coverage, revenue recognition, contract reviews, and counterparty concentration-risk tracking.

Requirements

• Background in compliance operations, AML/KYC, or a related regulatory function.
• Ability to manage recurring operational workloads independently.
• Clear communication skills for requesting and reviewing customer documentation.
• Interest in progressing into a full Compliance Officer role as the regulatory footprint expands.
• EU-based location is preferred; the role is remote and available worldwide.
• Comfort working at startup speed with an evolving scope.
