Registered Nurse, RN - Progressive Care Unit (Healthcare)

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation required.

Salary: $37.50–$68.47 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to patients and families in accordance with physician orders and established procedures.
• Conduct and document clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Use professional nursing judgment to adjust care plans based on patient needs and changes in health status.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate tasks according to team member skills, and coordinate patient and family education.
• Develop discharge plans using appropriate referrals and community resources.
• Support staff development through onboarding assistance, precepting, professional development, and participation in committees.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Relevant department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience requirements vary by career level: Level I requires less than 12 months, Level II requires 12 months to less than 3 years, Level III requires 3 to less than 8 years, and Level IV requires 8 years of RN experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to apply the nursing process and meet the physical demands of patient care, including lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and maneuvering patients.
