Principal Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid, with three days on location in Columbus, Ohio; Hammond, Indiana; or Merrillville, Indiana. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $113,500–$200,100 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions for cloud products and platforms.
• Architect and deploy multi-cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Develop cloud governance policies supporting scalability, compliance, security, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Design cloud-based data solutions, including analytics platforms, data lakes, and storage architectures.
• Implement hybrid-cloud disaster recovery strategies and integrate on-premises systems with SaaS and cloud applications.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, service providers, and stakeholders while troubleshooting systems and reviewing code and configuration quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure cloud or data center domains.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including deployment strategies, operational and financial management, security, and cloud integration.
• Experience with serverless architectures, containerization, managed services, and Kubernetes.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement with three days on location in Columbus, Hammond, or Merrillville.

• Professional certifications in relevant IT areas.
• Experience in the utility or a similar industry.
