Senior Java Developer

Location: On-site in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX

Salary: $155,000–$182,500 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities.

hirify.global provides financial services and is developing a core client data platform for clients, accounts, households, and advisors across digital, branch, and service channels.

What you will do

• Design, architect, and deliver scalable, resilient cloud-based applications for the client data ecosystem.
• Develop event-driven architectures, APIs, batch processing frameworks, and messaging solutions.
• Evaluate business and technical needs and deliver solutions optimized for scalability, performance, security, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Modernize platforms and support critical production environments.
• Create delivery roadmaps, manage dependencies, and drive execution against strategic priorities.
• Mentor engineers, lead through influence, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise application development experience with Java, Spring Framework, cloud technologies, and REST/SOAP web services.
• Experience using generative AI coding assistants, including tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with batch processing, cloud-compatible databases, CI/CD, source control, build automation, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or comparable cloud platforms.
• Experience applying test-driven development, automated testing, quality engineering, and continuous improvement practices.
• 5+ years communicating with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, plus experience leading discussions and managing complex technology initiatives.

Nice to have

• Agile development experience and experience modernizing legacy platforms to distributed cloud architectures.
• Python development experience.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, financial services, architecture documentation, and technical solution design.
• Experience coaching engineers, leading technical teams, and driving engineering best practices.
