IT Teaching Assistant

Location: Remote

Compensation: $2,000 per 4-credit course per 11-week quarter, or $1,185 per 1–2 credit course per 11-week quarter.

What you will do

• Support and grade assignments for 30–40 students during an 11-week online course.
• Mentor and coach students as they develop technical and professional skills.
• Attend course lectures and lead discussion sections to reinforce key concepts.
• Host weekly office hours and help students deepen their understanding.
• Communicate with students regularly, respond to messages promptly, and support strong academic habits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or training in technical subjects.
• Comfort using online education tools and platforms.
• Ability to support courses covering cloud foundations, cybersecurity, networking, Linux, databases, software project management, and web development.

Nice to have

• Current enrollment in a graduate degree program or professional experience in a technical or business role.
• Experience in IT support, cybersecurity, systems, software, online teaching, or facilitation.
• Willingness to support future academic quarters or multiple course sections.
