Consultant, Business Insights (DDS Claims Reporting)

Location: Remote within the Columbus, Des Moines, or Scottsdale regions; position associated with Ohio-Work from Home-2.

Salary: $108,000–$200,000 annually; expected starting range: $108,000–$162,000.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary liaison between DDS and Claims business partners, translating operational priorities into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze internal and external data using R, SAS, SQL, and Python.
• Build and maintain reporting, dashboards, business intelligence applications, forecasts, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Facilitate requirements discussions, solution design, validation, user acceptance testing, and stakeholder handoffs.
• Apply statistical inference, predictive modeling, and diagnostic analysis to investigate complex business concerns and communicate actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate projects, manage special initiatives, and support continuous improvement across data, reporting, and analytics processes.

Requirements

• Typically eight or more years of experience in data extraction, data manipulation, analysis, and data visualization.
• Undergraduate studies in data or business analytics, computer science, management information systems, business, mathematics, or a related field; postgraduate studies are preferred.
• Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets, databases, advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong consultation, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to understand business processes, interpret data requests, translate business problems into solutions, and create clear data visualizations.
• Remote work is available only within the Columbus, Des Moines, or Scottsdale regions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claims data and Property and Casualty Claims processes.
• Professional experience in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
