Senior Functional Analyst (JIRA)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, validation, documentation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models, specifications, user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Use JIRA as an Application Lifecycle Management tool for requirements, testing, defects, traceability, and backlog management.
• Coordinate with customers, product owners, business users, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors to assess solution impacts and clarify requirements.
• Track risks, issues, impediments, project artifacts, execution metrics, and requirements traceability throughout the SAFe and Scrum lifecycle.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required, with additional experience permitted as a substitute for education.
• Strong background in software development and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and expertise with JIRA tools.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for or possession of a Public Trust (MBI) clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or federal health agencies such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge.
