Senior Functional Analyst (Agile)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, validation, and documentation of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage requirements, epics, sub-epics, user stories, testing, defects, and backlogs in JIRA and other ALM tools.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models, specifications, and project documentation.
• Define acceptance criteria, maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, risks, and impediments, and coordinate requirements change control.
• Collaborate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
• Report program and product execution metrics, remove sprint impediments, serve as a functional subject matter expert, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience and a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline; additional experience may substitute for education.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA, advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance and pass the required government investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or another federal health agency.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, claims processing applications, or large Agile software development and data integration projects.
