Mechanical Engineering Internship (Military and Space)

Location: Syracuse, NY, United States. Onsite internship for Summer 2027. US citizenship is required to meet Secret clearance eligibility and ITAR access requirements.

Salary: $47,243–$74,675 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative-shift assignments.

What you will do

• Design and package complex electromechanical parts and assemblies according to specifications and performance requirements.
• Develop product-testing procedures.
• Provide technical support to production personnel.
• Prepare engineering change notices for updates to production processes.
• Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure product and system compliance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be a US citizen and have a background permitting the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC procedures.
