Sales Project Manager (Data Centers)

Location: Sussex, Wisconsin, USA; occasional travel required.

What you will do

• Manage new equipment sales projects from customer requirements through execution, delivery, and post-onboarding engagement.
• Develop and retain data center customers through consultative outbound sales and responsive support.
• Prepare accurate quotes, work and cost estimates, order processing, contracts, budgets, purchase order requests, and project financial updates.
• Interpret power generation and data center specifications, including power needs, redundancy, voltage, transfer switches, and fuel sources.
• Coordinate with sales, commercial operations, project management, finance, manufacturers, and customers to resolve issues and maintain project quality.
• Request factory test reports and operation and maintenance manuals, maintain customer documentation, and support product education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an electrical or mechanical technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience in the construction industry.
• Consultative sales experience and the ability to interpret technical specifications for power generation and data center applications.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, shifting deadlines, and urgent requests independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to perform regular standing and walking, use computer equipment continuously, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Project management courses or certifications.
• Experience managing multiple projects, creating estimates, and developing project plans, milestones, timelines, budgets, and status documents.
• Ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
