Engineer Staff II (Civil Engineering)

Location: Dublin, Ohio; opportunity based in Mentor, Ohio

Salary: Starting at $70,000 annually, based on position, experience, and licensure.

What you will do

• Provide technical planning and design support for storm and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution, and other utility and civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, construction plans, specifications, permit submittals, and preliminary cost estimates.
• Develop construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and apply local and state standards.
• Assist with project scopes, budgets, schedules, design changes, project status reports, and quantity evaluations.
• Conduct on-site inspections and assist Project Managers with project coordination.
• Participate in client, public, plan review, preconstruction, and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 2–4 years of experience in civil-site and municipal engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to prepare engineering calculations, reports, construction plans, and permit documentation.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Availability for on-site inspections and project meetings as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS.
