Software Developer for DDS-Based Middleware in Robotics (ROS2)

What you will do

• Architect and implement DDS-based middleware for robust, scalable, real-time data exchange.
• Design and optimize frameworks and libraries supporting autonomy, perception, and control subsystems.
• Integrate ROS/ROS2 with DDS implementations such as FastDDS and manage real-time QoS compatibility.
• Collaborate with hardware, perception, and controls teams to define requirements and resolve system-level issues.
• Contribute to toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release automation.
• Mentor engineers and help establish software development and integration best practices.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Deep understanding of DDS and practical experience with FastDDS or another DDS implementation.
• Expertise with ROS and ROS2, including custom DDS backend integration.
• Strong knowledge of real-time communication protocols and distributed systems in robotics and IoT.
• Hands-on experience integrating robots, IoT devices, sensors, and actuators.
• Experience with middleware performance tuning, DDS QoS policies, security, access control, containerization, CI/CD, and industrial communication protocols.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud-native microservices.
• Experience with IIoT system integration.
• Leadership experience in high-performance engineering teams.
