Senior Data Scientist (Automotive)

What you will do

• Analyze automotive industry data to identify the features that drive vehicle prices and predict future values.
• Build, evaluate, optimize, and deploy advanced AI/ML and classical regression models into production.
• Create machine learning processes, monitoring tools, documentation, and production APIs.
• Lead complex end-to-end data science projects and collaborate with technology, engineering, and product teams.
• Develop analytics for new data products and create visual reports in Tableau for internal and external clients.
• Perform advanced data manipulation, ad-hoc analysis, and reporting using Python/R, SQL, Snowflake, and machine learning frameworks.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Graduate degree.
• At least 4 years of experience working with large datasets, statistical programming software, and database software.
• Strong experience with Python or Spark; experience with R and SAS is advantageous.
• Experience with MS SQL, Snowflake, or MySQL.
• Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical audiences and experience presenting findings.
• Curiosity, passion for solving problems with data, and strong collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive market data.
• Experience deploying cloud-based MLOps systems and machine learning models into production through APIs.
• Experience using Claude in machine learning or data science projects.
• Shareable examples of data visualizations.
• PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
