Principal Software Engineer (Vue/Node.js)

Location: Fully remote within Europe, limited to Denmark or Sweden, with CET ±2 hours overlap

Compensation: DKK 67,000–72,000 per month

What you will do

• Solve complex technical problems spanning systems, teams, and domains, taking solutions through production.
• Shape the architecture of the web and mobile platform across Vue 3, Quasar, Capacitor, Node.js, Firebase, Firestore, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Facilitate architecture decisions, document technical direction, and evaluate build, buy, adoption, and retirement options.
• Establish shared standards for code quality, testing, APIs, data modelling, documentation, and system design.
• Identify and address technical debt, performance, scalability, reliability, privacy, and security risks.
• Mentor Senior and Lead Engineers and advance responsible AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior, Lead, or Principal Software Engineer delivering complex production-grade systems.
• Deep proficiency in Vue 3 and Node.js, with strong full-stack capability.
• Strong practical experience with Domain-Driven Design, including bounded contexts and tactical DDD in code.
• Solid experience with Firebase, Firestore, and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Architecture experience with layered systems, event-driven architecture, and modular monoliths.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and communicate clearly through design documents, decision records, standards, and code reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with empowered product-team models such as the approach described in INSPIRED.
• Experience in healthcare, regulated technology, or another environment where privacy, security, quality, and trust are critical.
