What you will do
- Define the team's technical roadmap, strategy, and architectural direction in partnership with the Engineering Manager.
- Own code quality, testing, reliability, performance, and engineering standards.
- Lead technical planning, discovery, solution design, and architectural decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-team technical collaboration and contribute to engineering-wide initiatives.
- Mentor and develop engineers at different levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical direction, making architectural decisions, and solving complex engineering problems.
- Deep expertise in software engineering, architecture, testing, reliability, performance, and maintainable system design.
- Ability to connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
- Strong communication, consensus-building, and cross-team influencing skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Engineering Managers.
- Expertise in some of the listed technologies and willingness to learn others.
Nice to have
- AWS or GCP experience.
- Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript expertise.
- Vue.js, Django REST Framework, container-based, or serverless architecture experience.
- MongoDB, DynamoDB, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Celery, EventBridge, or Datadog experience.
