Network Architect (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop the enterprise network architecture roadmap, standards, governance, and reference architectures.
• Design highly available LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, cloud, B2B networking, and internet edge solutions.
• Lead Azure, AWS, and GCP connectivity, hybrid cloud networking, transit networking, routing, DNS, and security segmentation initiatives.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Engineering, Application Development, and Operations teams on modernization and infrastructure-as-code programs.
• Provide architectural oversight for major projects, vendor assessments, security reviews, audits, and strategic technology decisions.
• Mentor network engineers and guide complex escalations, disaster recovery, business continuity, performance, and resiliency efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of enterprise networking experience, including 5+ years designing large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• Expertise in GCP Networking, cloud and B2B networking, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Meraki wireless networking, and SD-WAN.
• Strong experience with Fortigate firewalls, corporate office networks, hybrid cloud connectivity, and financial institution networks.
• Experience with network security architecture, segmentation, Zero Trust, NAC, SASE, ZTNA, secure remote access, and regulated environments.
• Ability to lead infrastructure transformation projects and communicate architectural recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Financial services or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience with Cisco Wireless, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks SCM, Prisma Access, Azure networking, AWS networking, network automation, and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code frameworks and strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
• Certifications such as PCNSA/PCNSE, PCNE, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or CISSP.
