R&D Student Placement (Cancer Diagnostics)

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of immunochemistry technology and advanced staining reagent products.
• Learn and apply product development processes within a regulated environment.
• Devise detailed plans for the development, verification, and validation of new products.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to deliver new diagnostic products.

Requirements

• Be in the second year of a relevant BSc degree in biomedical or biological science supporting an industrial placement year.
• Understand histopathology, histological and immunohistochemical techniques, and molecular biology techniques.
• Be able to work entirely on-site at the Leica Biosystems Newcastle facility.
• No travel is expected for this role.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working in a controlled laboratory environment.
