Account Payable Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Manage regional payment processes for multiple entities across the group.
• Process payable invoices, staff claims, ad-hoc payments, and weekly payment batches.
• Upload approved payments into banking systems and organize payment and bank documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on aged invoices and internal or vendor enquiries.
• Support cash flow management, intercompany transactions, settlements, trackers, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve financial reporting and automate operational processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience, preferably specializing in accounts payable.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of company policies and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage confidential data, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, organization, and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with MS Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting or tax software.

Nice to have

• Experience in the payment industry.
• Interest in fintech startups and working with numbers.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for a Junior Accountant position.
