TL;DR
Data Engineer - Data Services (Fintech): Designing, maintaining, and improving data lakes, operational databases, pipelines, and large-scale batch and real-time processing systems with an accent on data modeling, cloud infrastructure, and data security. Focus on building distributed data services, integrating new data sources, and creating metadata and lineage capabilities for accurate, timely business insights.

What you will do
- Design, maintain, and improve analytical and operational data services and infrastructure.
- Build and support data lakes, operational databases, and batch and real-time data processing systems.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, schemas, data models, and metadata and lineage repositories.
- Integrate new data sources with product teams and collaborate with data scientists on structured data processes.
- Use distributed, cloud, and streaming technologies to deliver accurate and timely metrics and insights.
Requirements
- Experience with Unix environments, networking, distributed computing, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency with Python tools and frameworks such as pip, pytest, boto3, PySpark, pandas, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration, big-data databases, container orchestration, CI/CD, messaging, and streaming systems.
- Experience with AWS services, including Glue, EMR, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, or CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, documentation practices, and Agile or Lean methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with JVM technologies such as Kotlin, Java, Scala, Spring, or Spark.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, BI tools, data science environments, observability platforms, and metadata lineage systems.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security concepts such as tokenization, hashing, encryption, or Apache Ranger.
