TL;DR
Data & AI Specialist (Manufacturing AI): Developing and enabling factory data governance, analytics platforms, and AI solutions for smart manufacturing with an accent on data quality, manufacturing data architecture, and operational analytics. Focus on deploying computer vision, predictive maintenance, process optimization, and generative AI applications while establishing responsible AI governance and data security.
Location: Wujiang, Jiangsu, China; onsite five days a week

manufactures construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives.
What you will do
- Establish factory data governance frameworks, data quality rules, ownership processes, lifecycle standards, and responsibility matrices.
- Design manufacturing data models and architecture, including master data standards, metadata management, data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and data flows.
- Implement automated data collection and integration across ERP, MES, quality, supply chain, production equipment, and IoT systems.
- Support data warehouses, analytics platforms, operational reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics using enterprise BI tools.
- Develop and deploy manufacturing AI applications for computer vision, automated quality inspection, predictive maintenance, process optimization, scheduling, safety, and energy management.
- Drive generative AI adoption through knowledge bases, digital assistants, AI agents, Copilot, workflow automation, and Power Platform applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, information systems, industrial or manufacturing engineering, artificial intelligence, statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, digital transformation, AI, or manufacturing systems.
- Experience implementing data governance programs; manufacturing or industrial analytics and AI experience is preferred.
- Strong experience with data governance, master data management, data modeling, SQL, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, Power BI, Azure Data Platform, AI and machine learning fundamentals, generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Power Platform.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP, MES, IoT platforms, SCADA, or historian systems.
- Visa sponsorship is not available; the position requires working onsite in Wujiang five days per week.
Nice to have
- CDMP certification or DAMA data governance knowledge.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or AI deployment in manufacturing environments.
