Manager, Biostatistics (Home Based)

Location: Home-based in South Africa; listed locations include Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Free State, Gauteng, Western Cape, KZN, North West, and Eastern Cape.

What you will do

• Manage clinical trial programs, projects, and submissions for one or more clients.
• Provide day-to-day technical and operational leadership to project teams.
• Coach, mentor, develop, and technically review the work of assigned biostatisticians.
• Lead statistical and programming teams and coordinate project plans with clients and internal project leaders.
• Oversee study design, sample size estimation, statistical analysis planning, data handling, modeling, testing, analysis, and reporting.
• Write and peer-review Statistical Analysis Plans, Statistical Reports, and statistical methodology sections of Clinical Study Reports.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in statistical science, mathematical analysis, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated exceptional ability and performance in biostatistics or a related discipline.
• Significant contribution and sustained outstanding performance may substitute for the stated experience requirement.
• Must be based in South Africa for the home-based arrangement.
