Principal Bioinformatician

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States, or remote within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $146,410–$192,164 USD base pay annually, plus potential performance-based bonus and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead computational analyses integrating clinical, biomarker, and multi-omics datasets across early drug development programs.
• Analyze bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing, TCR/BCR sequencing, WGS/WES, ATAC-seq, ctDNA, proteomics, cytokine, imaging, flow cytometry, and CyTOF data.
• Discover and validate pharmacodynamic, predictive, prognostic, and response biomarkers for patient stratification and mechanism-of-action hypotheses.
• Build and maintain reproducible, scalable bioinformatics pipelines in cloud and high-performance computing environments.
• Partner with translational science, clinical development, research, CMC teams, CROs, and collaborators to interpret computational findings.
• Contribute biomarker sections for INDs, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, and regulatory briefing documents.

Requirements

• PhD with 5+ years of experience or MS with 8+ years of experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, systems biology, or a related quantitative biological field.
• Strong expertise in bioinformatics and statistics, with biological training and translational research experience in oncology, immunology, or autoimmune disease.
• Strong programming experience in R and/or Python.
• Experience with Linux/Unix computing environments and workflow management systems such as Snakemake, Nextflow, or WDL.

Nice to have

• Experience with gene and cell therapy.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
