What you will do
- Analyze next-generation sequencing data, from individual research experiments to very large cancer-related datasets.
- Research and develop machine learning architectures, statistical algorithms, and mathematical models for genomics.
- Design and prototype processing pipelines and algorithms for high-throughput sequencing data.
- Engineer and optimize genomic data analysis tools and the broader genomic analytics platform.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, clinical, data science, software engineering, and business analysis teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, research reports, and algorithm specifications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related field; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong foundation in probability theory, statistics, scientific methods, algorithms, and quantitative analysis.
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools, clinical diagnostics workflows, or genetic processes.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, scripting, file parsing, and data visualization.
- Experience with cloud computing technologies, preferably AWS.
- Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, communicate clearly, and collaborate across functions.

- Experience managing data in a regulated environment.
- Additional knowledge of databases, statistics, or genetics.
