Principal Full Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Durham, NC, US; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Design application-level architecture for enterprise digital applications using MVC, micro frontends, and open microservice architectures.
• Develop and deploy front-end and back-end applications, RESTful APIs, and complex software components across multiple platforms.
• Build high-volume transaction-based batch processing and event-driven applications for fund information platforms.
• Modernize mainframe applications into distributed systems and implement cloud-native deployments.
• Lead project planning, risk management, technical evaluations, and delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and advise business units and senior management on technical strategy.

Requirements

• Onsite work in Durham, NC, US is required.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with three years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing fund information platforms in the banking and financial domain.
• Strong Java/J2EE experience, including Core Java, EJB, JMS, JAX-RS, JPA, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST, SOAP, and Apigee.
• Experience with Angular, HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, relational databases, CI/CD, and observability tools.
