Software Development Engineer III (AI)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States; travel to hirify.global manufacturing facilities may be required up to 10% of the time. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $164,652.00–$230,512.80 per year; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design and build hirify.global’s next-generation procurement platform covering requisition workflows, sourcing automation, purchase orders, invoicing, supplier lifecycle, quality integrations, compliance, export control, and shared data services.
• Develop software products for sourcing, inventory control, manufacturing, quality, and test operations using Java, Python, and TypeScript.
• Design and build web interfaces with React and Angular.
• Implement AI workflows, cloud-based monitoring, alerting, and operational-excellence mechanisms.
• Improve availability, reduce technical debt and page-load latency, minimize mean time to recovery, and scale procurement operations.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor more junior software developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience researching and incorporating modern AI/ML tools.
• Proficiency or expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities.
• Eligibility to work under U.S. export control regulations is required.

Nice to have

• 1+ year of experience architecting large-scale supply chain software systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture and microservices design patterns.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of MRP, supply chain planning, or manufacturing execution systems.
• Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms.
• Experience architecting and scaling AI/ML solutions for supply chain or operations.
• Deep understanding of large language models, generative AI, and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience incorporating AI capabilities into software systems to drive business value and operational efficiency.
