What you will do
- Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
- Optimize software systems for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
- Gather infrastructure requirements and coordinate with engineering groups and stakeholders.
- Lead complex software systems projects across solution design, development, testing, and integration.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.
Requirements
- Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 7–10 years of experience in systems engineering, programming, or a related field.
- Experience with Agile methodology, automation, debugging, software engineering, and scalability.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
- Strong communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.
Nice to have
- Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE) certification.
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
