About the Role

You will independently plan and execute performance engineering activities for large scale identity services in cloud native environments. You will assess scalability and reliability, investigate bottlenecks, analyze Java applications, improve test automation, document findings, support customer investigations, and provide technical guidance while owning performance work through completion.

Requirements

• Experience developing and executing load scalability endurance stress reliability regression baseline and benchmark tests
• Experience planning holistic system performance testing with minimal supervision
• Ability to troubleshoot isolate and perform root cause analysis on end to end issues
• Experience with load generation measurement observability monitoring and profiling tools
• Ability to write performance tests and automation in Python Java Scala Go or a comparable language
• Experience testing LDAP Java web and distributed applications in regional cloud or hybrid deployments
• Experience troubleshooting environment configuration load balancing and network issues
• Experience with Java stack tuning profiling debugging and optimization
• Proficiency with JVM internals garbage collection and memory management
• Understanding of software engineering practices design patterns automation and maintainable test development
• Understanding of TCP/IP HTTP(S) SSL/TLS and distributed service protocols
• Experience running large scale performance tests in cloud environments especially Kubernetes
• Cloud development and automation experience with virtual machines containers and infrastructure or deployment automation
• Ability to communicate technical findings risks recommendations and trade offs clearly
• Collaboration mentoring and technical leadership skills
• 5+ years of software development experience including substantial Java experience
• 5+ years of performance engineering or related experience
• Experience with identity and access management and OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect and WebAuthn
• Ability to work independently and take accountability through completion
• Experience with Gatling JMeter or comparable performance testing tools
• Experience with Kubernetes GKE or AWS including application resource measurement and sizing

Responsibilities

• Define and execute performance testing strategies for identity management products
• Plan and execute load scalability endurance stress reliability regression baseline and benchmark tests
• Define performance metrics and analyze results trends and trade offs
• Troubleshoot isolate and identify root causes of performance and reliability issues
• Coordinate fixes with engineering teams and verify their effectiveness
• Profile tune and optimize Java applications and memory usage
• Determine configurations for performance capacity planning and resource sizing
• Improve performance test automation and continuous integration workflows
• Maintain performance testing tuning capacity planning and troubleshooting documentation
• Own performance activities across design development testing deployment release and operations
• Participate in customer engagements technical escalations onboarding and performance investigations
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers
• Evaluate tools frameworks technologies and industry developments
