Senior Manager, Global Payroll

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $116,000–$159,000, $122,000–$168,000, or $136,000–$187,000 annually depending on US geographic pay zone, plus a 15% bonus target.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end global payroll operating model, including calendars, processing, funding, reconciliations, reporting, controls, and issue resolution.
• Lead US and international payroll across multiple countries, entities, pay frequencies, providers, EOR partners, and local specialists.
• Manage payroll providers and partner with Finance, Accounting, People, Legal, IT, Total Rewards, and Stock Administration.
• Oversee payroll audits, tax filings, statutory reporting, year-end processes, payroll accounting, equity-related compensation, and employee lifecycle changes.
• Improve payroll systems, HRIS integrations, workflows, reporting, automation, and operating metrics to increase scalability and data quality.
• Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members and external partners while serving as the senior escalation point for complex issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including significant global payroll leadership in a multi-entity organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; CPP is preferred.
• Experience with US and international payroll, payroll providers, EOR partners, local specialists, multiple pay frequencies, and service-level oversight.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll tax, statutory requirements, year-end reporting, wage and hour matters, benefits deductions, equity, commissions, and payroll accounting.
• Hands-on experience with payroll solutions such as ADP and leading payroll implementations, migrations, integrations, or major system enhancements.
• Strong analytical, communication, cross-functional partnership, judgment, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and detailed execution.

• CPP certification.
• Experience using automation and AI-enabled tools to improve payroll operations, reporting, controls, and employee support.
