Payroll Specialist Lead - US

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end payroll operations for the US PEO environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Validate payroll inputs, calculations, and outputs while maintaining data integrity across payroll cycles.
• Manage exceptions, adjustments, reconciliations, and escalations for complex payroll issues.
• Support payroll process implementation, system updates, statutory changes, and new program rollouts.
• Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Finance, Product, Service Operations, and external stakeholders.
• Test payroll system enhancements and contribute to documentation, workflows, SLAs, KPIs, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience in a US PEO or similar environment.
• Knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices.
• Experience with payroll validations, reconciliations, statutory filings, and operational rollouts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with high integrity and discretion.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and the ability to learn new operational tools quickly.
• Ability to work hirify.globally from the United States in an asynchronous, hirify.global-first environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation or AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience with multi-country payroll.
