Member Service Representative (Banking)

Location: On-site at 3415 Westgate Drive, Durham, North Carolina, United States; may require working at or permanently transferring to neighboring branches within a reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: $20.82–$24.19 per hour

What you will do

• Provide guidance on deposit accounts, lending products, credit and debit cards, and other financial services.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts, loans, and related financial products.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other routine transactions.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and service requests.
• Identify opportunities to educate members and cross-service relevant products.
• Handle cash and negotiable instruments securely while supporting branch operations.

Requirements

• Experience building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-production, changing environment.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and adapt to evolving technologies and change initiatives.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability Monday through Saturday, with hours based on business needs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of deposit and loan products, services, and operational procedures.
• Customer service experience, preferably in banking or another financial institution.
