Director Therapeutic Area Genetics (Oncology)

What you will do

• Set and execute the strategy for germline cancer risk genetics products, translating organizational vision into an operational roadmap with measurable milestones.
• Develop somatic genetics strategies for the oncology portfolio and identify opportunities for tumor profiling studies across cancer types.
• Lead large-scale tumor sequencing analyses, including whole-exome sequencing, whole-genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, and integrative multi-omics studies.
• Design molecular profiling and clinical correlation analyses combining germline and somatic data with transcriptomic, epigenetic, and proteomic information.
• Oversee product development and commercialization strategies for cancer genomics programs, including market opportunities, partnerships, and go-to-market pathways.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of human genetics scientists, bioinformaticians, and statistical geneticists.

Requirements

• MD or MD/PhD with a strong background in quantitative biology applied to cancer genetics and genomics.
• At least 12 years of research experience in cancer genetics, genomics, or oncology product development.
• Experience independently leading large-scale human cancer genomic programs from conception through commercialization.
• Expertise in tumor sequencing analysis, including variant calling, mutational signatures, clonal evolution, copy number alterations, and structural variant detection.
• Experience developing or contributing to germline diagnostic tests for cancer predisposition, risk assessment, or clinical decision-making.
• Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, New York four days per week.
