Water & Wastewater CAD Technician

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings and construction documents for water, wastewater, treatment plant, pump station, and utility projects.
• Develop preliminary, intermediate, and final plan sets for planning, permitting, bidding, and construction.
• Use Autodesk Civil 3D to create alignments, surfaces, grading models, utility networks, corridors, and related design elements.
• Prepare utility layouts, drainage and erosion control plans, site improvements, process piping drawings, exhibits, schedules, and quantity takeoffs.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, process engineering, survey, and project management teams.
• Perform drawing quality control, manage revisions, and support project closeout and CAD workflow improvements.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of CAD drafting and design experience in civil infrastructure, water/wastewater, municipal, or utility projects.
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD, including surfaces, grading models, utility networks, plan and profile sheets, and construction plan sets.
• Experience with water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment plants, pump stations, utility infrastructure, or municipal public works projects.
• Understanding of civil engineering design principles, construction documents, permitting requirements, technical specifications, and design standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Onsite work in Austin, Texas is required.
