TL;DR
Cloud Engineer (Azure): Building and deploying Infrastructure-as-Code templates and executing Azure migrations for application infrastructure with an accent on Azure IaaS/PaaS, landing zones, networking, and security compliance. Focus on implementing migration runbooks, managing CAB-approved production cutovers, supporting validation and hypercare, and documenting technical changes.
Location: Hybrid, based in Belconnen, Australian Capital Territory

What you will do
- Build and deploy Infrastructure-as-Code templates for virtual machines, storage, networking, and other application components within Enterprise Scale landing zones.
- Execute Azure Migrate activities, migration runbooks, and production cutovers during CAB-approved change windows.
- Support testing and validation before production cutovers.
- Prepare documentation and participate in Technical Change Management meetings.
- Provide temporary post-cutover support and contribute to Standard Operating Procedure documentation during hypercare.
- Operate within customer Azure subscriptions under privileged access while following security and compliance controls.
Requirements
- Australian citizenship and NV1 Security Clearance are mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS services and Azure Migrate.
- Experience authoring Infrastructure-as-Code with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, landing zones, networking, or security engineering.
- Familiarity with CAB-governed change management and migration strategy frameworks such as the 8Rs.
- Permanent full-time availability.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering Microsoft-partner-led migration factory engagements.
- Exposure to Australian Government security frameworks, including ISM, Essential Eight, and DSPF.
- Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
