SCADA Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in Houston, Texas, United States. Standard office hours apply, with occasional project-related long hours, shared 24/7 after-hours callout, and occasional travel.

What you will do

• Administer and manage real-time SCADA systems supporting natural gas and products pipelines.
• Analyze, design, configure, and implement SCADA applications, HMI graphics, reports, and related projects.
• Develop data interfaces between business applications and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, Operations, IT Infrastructure, and Telecommunications teams.
• Provide hardware, software, database, network, and application troubleshooting support.
• Document application designs, graphics, procedures, and system usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting SCADA, automation, or real-time systems.
• Experience with a current SCADA platform such as GeoSCADA or Ignition.
• Programming and scripting experience with PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python, plus familiarity with the .NET library.
• Experience with SQL databases and stored procedures, object-oriented methodologies, IT or telecommunications standards, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent English-language skills, strong communication, documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• SCADA or automation experience in pipeline or liquid terminal industries.
• Understanding of PLC logic control and function.
• Networking experience within a telecommunications department.
