Quality Control & Release Specialist (Cannabis Testing)

Location: On-site in Woodbridge, ON, Canada; must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting

Salary: Up to CAD 50,000 per year

What you will do

• Review daily laboratory raw data and verify compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Issue Certificates of Analysis and review investigation records, including LIR, OOS, OOT, and OOE documents.
• Generate change controls for laboratory equipment, methods, and protocols.
• Improve laboratory documentation to keep processes and responsibilities current, accurate, and clearly defined.
• Monitor the status and effectiveness of laboratory installation, qualification, calibration, and maintenance programs.
• Follow GMP, safety, housekeeping, and security procedures while supporting laboratory innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related science.
• Extensive relevant quality control experience and strong analytical laboratory and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of GMP and ISO 17025 guidelines.
• Competence operating, calibrating, and qualifying analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC/MS-MS, and GC/MS-MS.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship and pass criminal background, education, and employment verification checks.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in an ISO/GMP-regulated environment.
• At least one year of quality assurance or quality control experience.
