TL;DR
Senior Manager, Materials Planning & Logistics – Development Programs (Aerospace) (Supply Chain/Aerospace): Leading materials planning, production control, inventory, warehousing, and logistics for autonomous aircraft development programs and a new greenfield manufacturing facility with an accent on material readiness, new product introduction, and scalable production. Focus on building planning systems and material-flow processes, mitigating long-lead risks, and transitioning development programs into rate manufacturing.

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

What you will do

  • Lead materials planning, production control, inventory, warehousing, and logistics strategy for aircraft development programs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, Quality, and Operations to maintain build plans aligned with program milestones.
  • Monitor material availability, schedule attainment, shortages, inventory health, work-order execution, and planning accuracy.
  • Identify long-lead material risks, develop recovery plans, and support engineering change implementation.
  • Lead planning and logistics readiness for a new manufacturing facility, including warehouse, stockroom, storage, and point-of-use material flow.
  • Build standard work and training programs while developing a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience with complex hardware development programs in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience implementing or scaling materials planning and inventory management processes, including MRP/ERP systems and supply chain planning methodologies.
  • Experience supporting material readiness for new product introduction and engineering development programs.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience launching greenfield manufacturing facilities or expanding major facilities.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Costpoint, or similar ERP platforms.
  • APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and government contracting requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, production ramp, or transition-to-rate-manufacturing experience.
