Staff Accountant (Ecommerce)

Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States. Hybrid work with the option to work remotely 2 days per week in accordance with company policies.

Salary: $64,397–$80,496 annual base salary, depending on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and professional licenses.

What you will do

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and accruals for expense and balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain weekly and monthly schedules and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and anomalies and communicate issues promptly.
• Review invoices, expense reports, and capital expenditures for proper coding and accounting treatment.
• Support year-end financial statement and statutory audits.
• Assist planning and budgeting with ad hoc reports, schedules, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting or private industry.
• CPA license.
• Exceptional Excel skills and experience analyzing and manipulating large datasets.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, independent execution, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with a major ERP system is preferred.
