Information Technology Subject Matter Expert (Storage and Backup)

Location: Columbus, OH, United States. US work authorization is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage arrays, storage topologies, backup platforms, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Lead storage and data protection infrastructure projects from design and implementation through migrations and sustainment support.
• Administer SAN, NAS, object storage, backup, replication, and cloud storage environments using technologies including NetApp, Pure Storage, Cohesity, NetBackup, AWS, Azure, and OCI.
• Develop applications and automation workflows for storage capacity management, backup scheduling, provisioning, and system administration.
• Troubleshoot storage performance bottlenecks and backup failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
• Lead IT professionals, provide technical guidance, and communicate infrastructure concepts across multiple teams.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain the required US security clearance.
• DoD-approved 8570/8140 cybersecurity certifications are required.
• At least five years of hands-on experience with enterprise SAN management and DoD IT systems, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, NAS, and file sharing.
• At least three years of experience designing, architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise storage arrays and disaster recovery or backup solutions.
• At least two years of advisory or managerial experience supporting DoD or federal enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of data protection, ransomware mitigation, immutability, encryption, DISA STIGs/IAVAs, Windows, RHEL, PowerShell, Python, Bash, and enterprise database backup procedures.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• NetApp, Cohesity, Dell, or related storage and data protection certifications.
