Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area, United States. On-site support is required based on customer access, system classification, and mission needs; the schedule is hybrid subject to customer direction and secure-environment access requirements. Travel may be required for mission workshops, technical working sessions, or program activities.

What you will do
- Design, provision, and maintain high-availability, multi-platform digital forensic tooling for incident response and threat analysis.
- Translate analytical and operational requirements into secure software utilities for constrained mission environments.
- Develop secure data-ingest pipelines, data-processing utilities, and automation that accelerate incident triage while protecting evidence integrity.
- Integrate commercial, GOTS, and custom-developed applications across mixed-vendor technical environments.
- Implement security hardening, secure coding, automated testing, logging, quality checks, and resilient delivery practices.
- Establish version control and CI/CD pipelines for capability builds, testing, deployment, patching, configuration updates, and rollback.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in cyber capability development, software engineering, digital forensics, systems automation, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
- Advanced proficiency in modern programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, C#, Go, or Rust, including interfaces with user- and kernel-level components.
- Experience with software design, debugging, unit and integration testing, centralized source control, CI/CD, automated deployment, and configuration management.
- Experience with secure coding, forensic data handling, vulnerability remediation, security controls, automated quality checks, and collaboration with security and incident-response professionals.
Nice to have
- Experience developing cyber capabilities or digital forensic tooling for Federal, law enforcement, intelligence, cyber, or other mission-critical environments.
- Experience with high-availability, multi-platform systems in cloud, hybrid, or restricted operational environments.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, data stores, identity services, and automated patching.
- Current TS/SCI clearance and experience supporting secure on-site environments.
