Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; employees may be required to work on site at client locations in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. The role combines in-person time and remote work, with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field.
Salary: $137,000–$205,400 annual base pay for the primary location; $123,900–$222,000 for additional U.S. locations.

What you will do
- Operate and improve a cloud-native technology platform deployed across public clouds including AWS and GCP.
- Build reliable, scalable, and secure Kubernetes-based platform services and deployment tooling.
- Automate multi-stage, SLO-gated deployments and reduce operational toil.
- Develop SLIs, SLOs, observability architecture, runbook automation, and reliability processes.
- Define SRE standards, service benchmarks, and automation for platform teams moving services into production.
- Participate in two-week Scrum sprints and a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports U.S. Federal Government contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required; an active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education.
- 4+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in distributed systems and 4+ years with a public cloud such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- 4+ years of Kubernetes experience and proficiency in Go, Python, or Ruby, preferably Go.
- Experience with Linux, networking, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, testing, technical documentation, and runbooks.
Nice to have
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification.
- Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
- DoD 8570/8140 compliance with at least IAT Level II, a current Computing Environment credential, and an approved specialty certification.
