Registered Nurse, Occupational Health - PRN

Location: Onsite across health centers in Gastonia, Mt. Holly, and Gaffney, North Carolina. PRN shifts may include first, second, and third shifts.

What you will do

• Provide first aid, emergency response, and clinical care for workplace injuries.
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patients within the scope of practice.
• Perform medical surveillance, screenings, and testing, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Coordinate case management, transitional duty, and return-to-work programs with clients and third-party administrators.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain patient records and equipment, and follow infection-control procedures.
• Support workplace safety initiatives, accident investigations, health education, and injury-prevention programs.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, ambulatory care, or a similar clinic setting.
• Experience with workplace health programs, hazard mitigation, health screenings, fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work examinations.
• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification may be preferred or required depending on the site; ACLS may also be required.

Nice to have

• BAT and UDS experience.
• Certification in Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• BSN from a four-year college or university.
