What you will do
- Manage branch activities, profitability, annual goals, transactions, operations, servicing, sales, and digital engagement.
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage branch staff, including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and staffing decisions.
- Identify retail and business banking needs, grow customer relationships, and conduct proactive community and business outreach.
- Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while taking ownership through final resolution.
- Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and recommend bundled products and services.
- Maintain operational, security, compliance, audit, fraud-prevention, and customer-asset protection standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
- Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
- Ability to coach exceptional customer service, communicate effectively, and work with employees and business partners across the organization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
- Maintain SAFE Act registration requirements, complete M&T Business Banking Specialist requirements within 18 months, and obtain required insurance licensing within 18 months when applicable.

- M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
- Spanish bilingual ability.
- Successful sales or business development experience and strong financial services product knowledge.
