Cybersecurity Compliance Lead

Location: Remote from an approved location within the United States

Salary: $145,000–$207,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and mature the cybersecurity compliance program against NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53.
• Act as the primary liaison to government cybersecurity teams, assessors, sponsors, and auditors.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, POA&Ms, and supporting compliance documentation.
• Establish controls for handling, storing, and transmitting CUI and ensure compliance with EAR and ITAR requirements.
• Lead security control assessments, gap analyses, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
• Support RMF/ATO packages, CMMC preparation, and compliance for classified information systems in coordination with the facility security officer.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, information assurance, or a related field.
• Experience working with government cybersecurity teams and organizations subject to federal security requirements.
• Hands-on experience implementing and assessing NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Experience with CUI, EAR, ITAR, SSPs, POA&Ms, RMF, ATO packages, and NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117.
• Active U.S. security clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under applicable U.S. Government regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience leading CMMC readiness or certification efforts.
• Experience supporting DoD or other U.S. Government programs.
• Familiarity with DFARS or FedRAMP.
• CISSP, CISM, CAP, or a similar certification.
