Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack (PHP/React)

Salary: $237,700–$344,700 annually for select cities in the San Francisco metropolitan area; the typical base salary range is $197,300–$313,700 annually.

What you will do

• Design and build enterprise security and compliance features for hirify.global.
• Own core systems such as SSO, SCIM, EKM, data retention, and audit logs.
• Make technical and architectural decisions for scalable, performant, and reliable systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, support, and operations teams.
• Triage and resolve production issues to maintain high availability.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and improve engineering standards and tooling.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience building web applications.
• Proficiency in PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, Go, C, or another functional or imperative programming language.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• Ability to drive technical decisions and write understandable, testable, maintainable code.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical partners.
• A related technical degree is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP/Hack, React, TypeScript, MySQL, and Linux.
• Experience with relational databases or other common web languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or C.
