TL;DR
Senior, Full Stack Software Engineer (PHP/Laravel/React): Owns end-to-end development of e-commerce web products and backend services with an accent on API reliability, database performance, and responsive frontend functionality. Focus on designing complex SQL schemas and algorithms, extending PHP codebases, deploying through CI/CD, and mentoring engineers in an agile environment.
Location: 100% telecommuting from the United States; facility located in New York City, New York

What you will do
- Own features and systems end to end, including technical design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Design backend systems, algorithms, APIs, database schemas, and complex SQL queries for reliable, scalable services.
- Develop new PHP products and refactor existing codebases to support growth, integrations, and new technologies.
- Contribute to responsive frontend experiences using JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, React, and modern frameworks.
- Champion CI/CD, continuous deployment, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Partner with product stakeholders and mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews, pairing, and architectural guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Web Engineer, Full Stack Software Engineer, or in a customer-facing PHP e-commerce role.
- Experience with PHP/Laravel, React, MySQL, Eloquent/ORM, RESTful APIs, Linux deployment, and LAMP/LEMP stacks.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, MVC, object-oriented programming, design patterns, software architecture, SQL, and relational database design.
- Experience developing and maintaining e-commerce applications with secure transactions, data protection, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Experience with Git and Agile development using Jira is required.
